Welcome to Southernwind, where all of our puppy owners are treated as part of the family. We pride ourselves on being a Southernwind Family K9 Team. All of our puppies are bred from parents with health clearances. Our studs and females have been certified by either OFA or the FCI ("SV") with stamps from Germany. We also conduct DM tests on our breeding stock. Our breeding stock originates from top European VA bloodlines in Germany. Even if showing or competing with your dog isn't your primary interest, the significance of owning a well-bred puppy with a strong genetic background, along with the assurance of health testing across multiple generations, should provide comfort in knowing you're acquiring the best puppy possible. Annually, we travel to Germany for the SV Sieger show, where we engage with numerous breeders and observe top dogs from around the world. This allows us to personally assess the offspring of top VA dogs, evaluating their character and temperaments, which in turn informs our breeding plans. Our puppies are raised in an exceptional environment, exposed to various circumstances, ensuring they develop confidence and adaptability. They are well-socialized with both large and small animals, children, men, and women, fostering wonderful social temperaments suitable for showing, performance, service, and companionship. With over 45 years of experience working with dogs and horses, we deeply value breeders who dedicate themselves to raising puppies with full-time commitment, fostering self-confidence, resilience, and a willingness to learn, enabling them to reach their fullest potential. We provide your puppy with a solid foundation for greatness and encourage you to follow our training techniques throughout their life. Each year, we meticulously select dogs to enhance our breeding program, personally traveling to Germany to assess them. We specifically choose bloodlines related to the top VA stud in Germany and bring them back to America, aiming to continuously improve the breed.
