Visiting Southernwind Kennels
We understand that many prospective buyers wish to visit and interact with our German Shepherd puppies before placing a deposit or making a purchase. The answer is YES—visits are possible by appointment only. We offer a 1-Hour "Meet & Greet" appointment for a non-refundable fee of $100, where you can meet our puppies, tour our facilities, and receive valuable information from our knowledgeable team.
Our puppies are not just products—they are part of our family. To protect their health and well-being, we limit visits to families who have either placed a reservation deposit or scheduled a Meet & Greet. Please understand that we cannot accommodate unscheduled visits, as our priority is the safety of our puppies and maintaining a clean environment.
Meet & Greet Appointments
We know that some families may be new to the German Shepherd breed or want to meet a few puppies to find the right fit. During your 1-Hour visit, you will have the opportunity to interact with our available puppies and ask any questions. The $100 fee will be deducted from the reservation deposit or purchase price if you decide to buy or reserve a puppy the same day. If not, it compensates us for our time and consultation.
Visit Guidelines:

Health and Safety: We ask visitors to wear clean clothes and shoes and sanitize their hands.

No Same-Day Breeder Visits: To protect our puppies, visitors must not visit other breeders on the same day.

Limited Guests: Maximum of 3 visitors per Meet & Greet.

Vaccination Requirement: Puppy visits are only allowed after the puppies have received their second set of vaccinations—no exceptions.

Non-Refundable Fee: The $100 fee is non-refundable and will only be deducted if you purchase or place a reservation during the visit.

Southernwind Breed Mastery Consultation
For families who want a deeper understanding before choosing a German Shepherd, we also offer our Southernwind Breed Mastery Consultation.
This is a one-hour private educational session focused on understanding the German Shepherd breed with more depth, based on over 52 years of Southernwind experience in breeding, raising, training, evaluating temperament, and guiding families.
Topics may include breed history, temperament, puppy psychology, structure, common myths, family suitability, puppy raising, owner preparation, and what it truly means to live with a German Shepherd.
This consultation is ideal for families who want to feel better prepared, better educated, and more confident before making such an important decision.
Fee: $100 for up to 2 people
Duration: One hour
